Now with his life dominated by sleepless nights, first love and the tests of friendship, patients and trust. His final year at St Greene's Academy for Young Gentlemen is about to become a heck of a lot more stressful.

The high school basketball was not my first choice. Trying out for the team wasn't something I wanted to do. Making the team wasn't what I thought would happen. 'Oh God Phil, I know you've messed up in the past, but this time you've really done it.' Dan and Phil go to a restaurant one November evening to visit Dan's parents. It all seems like a pleasant evening, until Phil accidentally exposes his relationship with Dan, who knows his parents are severely homophobic. Mistakes are made, and Phil ends up in hospital. Dan, alone, waits for weeks for Phil to wake up from his coma state, until one day, he decides he can't wait any longer, so he tries to end his life to be with Phil, whom he thinks is dead. Phil wakes up, only to find Dan is not by his side, but on his way to a bridge over the Thames as he prepares to jump into the murky waters and take his own life. His eyes were brown, and sad looking. He stood there awkwardly, as he saw my taken aback expression. I shook my head and smiled at him. Phil moved to a new house, but it wasn't an ordinary house. It's where he met Dan, but Dan wasn't the same as anyone else he had ever met before. Dan was a ghost. But Phil wasn't going to let that stop him from making the unhappy ghost Dan happy again, or even his feelings toward him.
