Every 8 Days she goes to see her best friend, Spot, the "King of Brooklyn". Everything seems to be going pretty normal until one day when she and her brother, Jack, start a strike against "The World". But what happens when memories of her past starts to resurface? And what happens when she makes a bet with " King Idiot" that in 8 days he could get her to say 8 letters? Note: ALL CHARACTERS MENTIONED IN THE 1992 FILM BELONG TO DISNEY. Avery DaSilva is a lower Manhattan newsie with a friendly and perky attitude. The other newsies love her and she loves them, well, all accept one. Tommy Boy seems to bring the worst out of the redhead as the two constantly bicker. Behind her perky personality, Tommy can help but feel she is hiding something. He's not entirely wrong, Avery absolutely refuses to talk her time at refuge, even with her brother. With a strike beginning old memories start to resurface, nearly breaking her in the process, and Tommy Boy might be the only one who can help her.

Her time in the past is closet to running out and she must decide whether to stay with her new family or go back to her time, where she is a loner. What she decides is up to me. 😉

After beginning as a oneshot about Crutchie Morris this story follows the Newsboys through their strike and shows the struggles this tight group of kids go through.

1899 Francis Sullivan hawked headlines for a living and was the big brother for all of the other boys who hawked headlines alongside him.
