There's something strange about the new school nurse... She wears sunglasses indoors, avoids sunlight like it's the plague, and keeps a locked fridge full of mystery vials. Oh-and her name is Mrs. Fang. Coincidence? Max, Lily, Jordan, and Sophia don't think so. The Shady Side Children are back and more suspicious than ever. When students start feeling unusually tired and Nurse Fang starts tracking everyone's blood types, the kids launch a full-scale investigation. Is she just a very weird health nut... or is there a real vampire stalking the hallways of Shady Side Elementary? Things only get stranger when they discover that their possibly-werewolf teacher, Mr. Harper, might be dating the vampire nurse. And when Mrs. Fang suddenly vanishes-leaving behind unanswered questions and a brokenhearted teacher-the mystery deepens. No fangs were ever seen. No garlic was officially needed. But at Shady Side, you never really know...

Step softly. Take a breath. Open your heart. A quiet adventure is waiting, one that will walk with you through the gentle light of bravery. The Journey of Courage is not just a poem-it's a tapestry of small moments, of whispers and wonders, where courage grows quietly, hidden in the spaces between fear and hope. Through rhythmic lines and flowing stanzas, it invites young readers to pause, imagine, and feel: The strength that hides in a single step forward. The magic in trying again, even when it feels impossible. The wonder that blooms when kindness and hope meet courage. Every verse is a gentle reminder that bravery comes in many forms. It can be soft as a whisper, steady as a heartbeat, and powerful enough to carry a world of dreams within it. This poem celebrates the unseen heroes in everyday life, the brave hearts that shine quietly, and the adventures that grow from believing in yourself. Perfect for children learning the beauty of resilience, for readers who treasure imagination and reflection, and for anyone who needs a gentle nudge to take the next small step forward. ✨ Coming soon on Amazon & Kindle ✨

And ever since the new janitor, Mr. Dracule, started working there, things have gotten...weird. He only comes out in the afternoon. He drinks red juice from a thermos. And he never-ever-seems to smile. Max, Lily, Jordan, and Sophia are convinced he's not just an ordinary janitor. They think he might be Dracula himself! Ebb lives on the edge of a small prairie town called Gustley. Strangers rarely come through, and when they do they are never trustworthy. Even Miss Cone, the town witch who lives next door to Ebb's family, is more welcome than a stranger. She is horribly old and made fun of, and according to Ebb's grandmother, can't even levitate a feather. But Ebb watches her daily through a hole in the fence and wonders if there's a bit more to her. When a young stranger named Johnny comes to the town carnival and saves the day by putting out a fire, Ebb wonders if he might be different than most strangers... more different than anyone suspected.

This is a bedtime story I wrote when I was about eight. I think it's actually got potential reading it back now, as writing it when I was younger, I knew what appealed to children and the way things should be worded. I haven't even modified the wording at all, only corrected grammar and some of my eight-year-oldly atrocious spellings. If you have any younger siblings of about ages 2-5, please read this bedtime story to them and ask them if they enjoyed it, then leave me some feedback? Thank you.
