Okay, before I get started I just want you to know that I did this story as a project for my honorsEnglish class in 10th grade. I know its probably not that great but please try to be nice about it. Its a short story I had to create literally from just on sentence of inspiration. The "prompt" was from Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut and it was supposed to be Kilgore Trout's story The Money Tree. So it goes...

Love has always been the last thing on your mind. You would only think about when your next meal was and if you would survive the next fight, but after coming out of war; it feels like you've lost all what makes you YOU. After you decide to move back to Colombia; in a small town where your late mother and father rest. Your welcomed back with opened arms by the town but you take a keen interest with a certain rat man who hides in the walls of a magic house. Maybe he can show you what it means to have love on your sleeve. I'm planning on making another one just like this but if the MC knew was older, knew Bruno more, and came before the movie, not after.
