The Princess is on an outsider status, she has never really felt like a princess. She's never quite fit into the role or lived up to the expectations that come with it. To the kingdom of Mirkwood, Layla is a mystery a beautiful yet distant figure who doesn't quite fit into the mold of a typical princess. While others in the kingdom are content with their duties and the life of royalty, Layla has always preferred being alone whether that means reading in her room or wandering the forests of Mirkwood. She's not interested in the palace politics or the constant attention. Layla often feels like she's watching life from the sidelines, unsure of where she belongs. It's not that she doesn't care; it's more that she feels disconnected, as though the life she's supposed to lead doesn't really suit her. Deep down, she wonders if she'll ever find a place where she truly feels at home or if she's destined to always be an outsider in a world that expects so much more from her.

Isola is a young hobbit woman who lives in the Shire with her less than parent worthy father. So she spends most of her free time with her cousin, Bilbo Baggins. One day, a wizard whom she vaguely remembers as Gandalf, comes to her while she is at work and asks her to join him and Bilbo at dinner that night for talk of a quest. She agrees to come to dinner, and is suprised to find a whole company of dwarves who are charming in their own way at her cousin's home. Isola joins the company for the adventure, and she learns that family does not have to be blood, and what it means to belong. And unexpected to her, she finds the one she'll never forget, and the one she'll never let go of. I would like to add that the chapters you read will not be fully edited until I complete the book. So there will be typos, flaws in the plot, ect. I am going to do some heavy editing at the end. Everything up until then is more of a draft. I do not own anything exept for Isola and some added plot.
