Karu Hisoka received an email one day that changed the entire course of his life. He had just graduated high school, not quite sure what to do with his life... then he saw it. An invitation onto a gameshow that was addressed to HIM! Free From All, a chance to start fresh and live the good life... only if you win, that is. As any desperate teen would, he accepted it. He was told there would be 15 contestants that would participate, including himself of course, and their goal was to prove their talent was the most impressive. If they could do so, the prize was all theirs. Was he going to question the logicality of it all? Nah. If there were supposed to be 15 contestants, how come the host himself seemed lost?

When almost everybody in Japan disappears in the blink of an eye, one would expect that they're in a dream. Only to discover that the dream is very much reality, but reality has become a nightmare. To survive, you must go through a variety of killing games, using your intellect, physical abilities, luck, or maybe all at once. But sometimes it doesn't matter what you have or don't have- what you can or can't achieve- what you- what you will do and what you won't do. Because sometimes, you can find yourself at the Borders of Madness. And when you're there, maybe the best thing to do is give up before you lose who you originally were. But Y/N L/N doesn't give up, and because of that, is he even 'Y/N L/N' anymore? I don't own Alice In Borderland or any of the characters, read the manga or watch the live action adaptation (the latter being what this is based off of, since it's peak). Numerous custom characters will be introduced to fill in the blanks but Y/N will still be the most prominent addition by far.

Heads Up: This is a Next Generation AU for the series Danganronpa. There will be references to all 4 games as well as the anime, so if you're unfamiliar with the series then it is highly recommended you either watch gameplay or play the games yourself, as that will give you the best reading experience. Since this story is a fanmade killing game, there will be mentions of violence as well as Major Character Death, so if you know you are someone who is sensitive to that material then it is recommended you give this story a pass. With that said, onto the ACTUAL description! ----- Hopes Peak Academy. A prestigious school, one that carried respect and praise; it is said that attending the school would grant you a successful future, whether that be money, fame, or status. The students represent the future of the world, their titles as Ultimates representing the hope that followed our future leaders. Satoshi Ikusaba, the Ultimate Strategist, had a plan on how his first day would go- he made sure to prepare for ANYTHING that could happen. Breakfast before school? Check. School supplies ready? Check. Getting him and his step-sister to school on time? Check. Passing out at the front of the school and waking up in a weird hotel with no idea how he got there? Check... Except the only problem is that the last bullet point wasn't on his list, or even something he took into account in the first place! Thankfully, he isn't alone; With his step-sister Kazue Maizono and his closest ally Jun Naegi on his side, he'll make sure to find the mastermind and put an end to this killing game once and for all! So this was a collaborative Fan fiction project for the 'Friendly' Danganronpa Community Challenge. We have developed most of the story in may and now we have started to produce what we have for now at least. We also decided to produce this is different areas of media. All incorporated people will be included at the end of this fanfic. We hope you enjoy. ~~~~~~~~ The interior of the bus was filled with the chime of chatter. All around Raven there was conversation and laughter. Despite the bright atmosphere she had a feeling in her gut, a bad feeling. Nothing seemed to be wrong at the moment but the feeling was something of great concern, as if she was dreading a horrible accident. 'But it wouldn't make sense' Raven scolded herself. 'Everything is fine, nothing is going to happen, you're being stupid.' She repeated these words over and over but... ...In that instant, Raven's unknown fear had been confirmed, without her even realizing it. In seconds her mind seemed to have fogged, and a wave of dizziness and nausea overcame her. Her sight started to fade, and she blacked out without being able to even realize that everything she had worried about, everything she had dreaded, without even knowing, became her true nightmare.

One hundred years ago, the tragedy of Hope's Peak took place, and the world as we knew it ended. One hundred years later, it seems old habits never died, and certain events are inevitably rehashed. One hundred years later...sixteen students are stuck in the same predicament. Katsu Yuuma is not looking forward to this school year.

Then, a mechanical bear shows up and tells them that they are going to be forced to kill each other! As the Ultimate Survivor, Arata has faced similar situations, but this time, he can't act alone. He needs the help of his classmates so that he can escape. (Rewritten first book of my oc killing game series cause it's been FOUR YEARS. Some things will be the same, and others will be different. Asuka Wada, the Ultimate Singer, was just hoping to get away from home for a while. She just wanted a little escape from reality. Just a break from her daily life. That was all. Yet that desire pulls her into horrors that can't even possibly be explained. She is now trapped in the middle of the ocean on a giant cruise ship with fifteen other Ultimates, and a robotic penguin butler is telling them the only way to get back home is to play a killing game. As tensions rise, doubts creep in, and blood is spilt, Asuka tells herself that she will survive, and that she won't sacrifice her morals, her principles, or her beliefs no matter what. But will she be able to keep saying that as the Deathly Killing Cruise Liner starts its voyage through the merky unknown? How can one face such a cruel reality with such faulty, childish dreams and ideals? Are those dreams strong enough to overcome this cruel fate, or will Asuka die along with them at sea? [Shattered Reality is an original Fanganronpa idea that I hope to turn into a game one day, but until then, the story will be posted as a fanfiction here.
