Kyoko Kirigiri is a world renowned detective. She's solved every case she's ever been assigned except one. Her parent's murder. When she finds clues connecting her parents murder and Celestia Ludenberg, a famous underground gambler and drug dealer, as well as a former assassin in the world's largest assassination organization in the world, D.I.C.E., Kyoko starts suspecting her. She (reluctantly) teams up with Shuichi Saihara, a detective who's been chasing Kokichi Oma, leader of D.I.C.E., for years, and the detective's find themselves involved in the biggest chase of their careers. --- TLDR; Kyoko is chasing Celestia and Kokichi with the help of Shuichi because she suspects Celestia of her parents murder. I suck at descriptions. Criminal AU? Or would this be an Assassin AU? Idk.

For Shuichi Saihara, most of these challenges involve a certain Kokichi Ouma, who he finds lounging on the couch in the apartment they shared together before the game. Turns out their past selves were childhood friends who eventually fell in love and had been in a rather serious relationship before joining the game. Will Kokichi's lingering crush on the detective and their slowly returning memories of the past become the downfall of their newfound friendship, or will it spark something more? This fic was heavily inspired by the fic "Second Chances" on AO3 by Lethargic_Lilac. It's a really good read and I highly recommend it. I hope you'll all enjoy my own personal take on the idea. And I'm sorry if this starts out the same as the "Shuichi x Reader" stories, like, y' know... "You woke up in the morning" blah blah... And I'm not sure if this will have lemon or fluff, or a mix of both... I just might change the rating as I continue the chapters. **!G/RE TRIGGER WARNING!**
