KJ's robotics malfunctioning on a recent mission has led her to letting her team down and feeling like a failure. She believes a new threat is coming to Valorant, but her teammates are skeptical with her claims. She is set on figuring out who is messing with her devices with an aim to secretly prove to herself and others she is the superior genius than this unknown threat. Raze, missing KJ's quality time due to her current fixation, chips in to play along with KJ on her journey. They start to realize that maybe friendship is not a strong enough term to explain how they feel and act towards each other.

The fires of 2012 started it all. Millions of Lives destroyed, and it was all part of Better Living Industries plan. It is now 2019 and their headquarters have grown stronger in Battery City, California. A place where everyone is on happy pills. They feel no emotion and cannot express themselves, and anyone who disobeys the rules will be exterminated by Korse the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W unit and his Draculoids. But, there are a group of rebels, who call themselves the Killjoys, led by Party Poison, who would rather have a hard life in the desert zones than an easy one while being brainwashed. They have only one hope, who is Missle Kid, who has been on the run from Korse because he knows what she is capable of, who the killjoys will protect with their lives and no one else's so they can save Libes and go back to a normal one......but then Toxic Kitten comes in the picture.

Silver Bullet used to be a happy, childish, enthusiastic Killjoy. Working alongside her brother, Toxic Bomb, the two were unbeatable. Or so they thought. Bullet became cold after her brother's death. Hellbent on revenge, on seeking out the Killjoy group that took the only good thing she had. Kobra Kid had to grow up too fast, hoping to give his brother the bliss of immaturity. He trained way to hard, never joined in the other Killjoys' fun, and kept to himself. He never denied the fact that he chose this tough life, but began questioning if his sacrifice was really worth it. Two people, both broken. Could they be the only ones who could fix the other?
