It didn't work. He attacked her. She tried to fight back, but eventually passed out in a pool of her own blood. He left, and went straight to a friend's house, a friend who happened to also like her. He told the friend, the friend admitted his feelings, and was killed, as well as the friends mother, who was a witness to the crime. He was in jail for a year, before escaping, and going on a murderous rampage. The perfect storm really. Every time before He killed, he will text Anna from the victims phone and ask if she changed her mind. She doesn't make the connection until the fourth murder, when her name is spelled in blood on the ground. Each time the murders become more gruesome, and the signs point to Him as the killer. The only way to stop him is to date him, but eventually, the stakes become higher, and He's asking for a lot more than her affection.
