Blank was taken in as a baby to be raised under Illumi as an assassin. Her sole reason for living was to assist and watch Killua, though he had no idea of her existence. She lived in the Zoldyck's basement for all twelve years of her life, before suddenly being told of Killua's escape. Now, she would be going on her very first mission, to bring back Killua. Killua didn't know how he'd gotten into this situation, or how to get out. All he knew, was that in order to survive he had to kill the demon in front of him. He'd been turned into a demon a few weeks ago, feeding to get stronger. He was bound by the urge to obey a voice that spoke in his head sometimes, the voice of Muzan Kibutsuji.
