This fanfic will start where the second book ended, this is fanfiction on King's cage how i would want it to be (even tho I know it's already out). It will mostly about how Mare was tortured, and about her and Cal. So it's Marecal. • • • I feel claustrophobic. Now they flash in front of my eyes, Cal laying behind the bars when Maven pulled us down from the sky. Then Kilorn's eyes, begging for me not to leave. Tears start to fall from my eyes. So I open them and look upwards and try to blink them away.

What if Mare chose Maven? What if Cal chose Mare the first time around? What if Mare chose to rise and rise alone just like jon predicted? This series will change a few crucial moments in the story, a few moments that will change it all. As well as this, there is a new character from the Calore brothers childhood who is destined to save one and destroy the other, but can she overcome fate? Can she page her own path? This is basically my rewrite of the series with different things added in or changed! I love the original but I always wonder what would have happened if somebody never chose someone and so on! Characters belong to Victoria Aveyard with the exception of a few, you'll know which ones aren't hers because they aren't mentioned in the original book! Hope you enjoy! This is my version of war storm (4th book in the red queen series)

Hadley Storm was raised a normal Red, scraping the bottom of the barrel for food rations and the fear of conscription hanging over her head. Until she meets Mare Barrow who gives her a safe haven with The Scarlet Guard.

This is my version of King's Cage. What if, by killing Elara, Mare removed all of Elara's changes in other people's minds? This would mean that Maven is himself. Will he be the kind boy that Mare thought if only as the ghost? Or will he still be every inch his mother's son, hungry for power and revenge? P.S. This is a Mareven fanfiction.

(Updates every other week at least) This takes place after War Storm, so there are spoilers if you haven't finished the book. Haunted by her past, Mare tries to adjust to life after a war, only to be thrown back into more chaos. After everything that has happened previously, Mare is still trying to find herself and ends up learning more about her own mind than she had imagined. Luckily, Cal is by her side and they are ready to face all danger together. Maven had been trapped in a cage his whole life. But what if she held the key to fix him.

Alternate reality where Cal meets Mare after she saves his life by stopping him being run over by a drunk driver. However, Mare ends up being injured instead as she pushes Cal out of the way. Different scenarios, same characters. Will the outcome be any different? Recommend reading at least Red Queen first to avoid spoilers. All rights go to Victoria Aveyard.
