"Wrong Time" is a story centered around two characters, Muichiro Tokito and Nezuko Kamado. The narrative explores their complex emotions and past history. Muichiro and Nezuko were childhood friends who used to play together a lot, but due to some reason, they grew distant. The story takes place when they find themselves in the same class after eight years.
Nezuko tries to reconnect with Muichiro, recalling their shared memories and playfully mentioning that they used to be close. However, Muichiro remains silent and aloof, avoiding her just like he did years ago. Nezuko's attempts to engage him are met with indifference. She eventually manages to stop him as he's about to leave, expressing her apologies for suddenly trying to be close after all this time.
The plot thickens when Nezuko confesses that she took his words seriously back when they were in the third grade, where he had said he liked her. Muichiro is surprised by this revelation and eventually admits that he was indeed serious about his feelings for her, even after all these years. However, he acknowledges that he had been avoiding her because of his embarrassment.
As the conversation continues, Nezuko reveals that she's already dating someone else, Zenitsu. She thanks Muichiro for being honest about his feelings and explains that she appreciates his honesty, even though circumstances prevented her from reciprocating. Despite this, they part on good terms, and Nezuko hopes they'll continue to be friends.
The story is presented through a mix of dialogue and introspective monologues, giving insight into both characters' thoughts and emotions. It touches on themes of unspoken feelings, missed opportunities, and the complexity of relationships. Ultimately, "Wrong Time" is a tale of bittersweet moments and the challenges of navigating emotions in the midst of change.
