Kincaid Histoires

Years of killings destroy a person. All Sidney Prescott feels she can do is run, so she does. Pushing people away, she finds herself alone with only one comfort: alcohol, in a dimly-lit bar full of people unknown to her. She's found a new routine in life, but her past always seems to come back. After a few shots, her past isn't the only thing to return. Kincaid walks in through the old, wooden doors of the bar.

She is an author who lived on the Caribbean island of Antigua before it became independent from England in 1981, who shares her thoughts on England in a time of oppression. I will first put my analysis, for those who only need help looking at the poem you already have in the light of another reader, myself.
