Amber Khial has lived in the same town her whole life. Her every day revolves around one big schedule. Wake up, go to school, come home, do homework, eat ice cream. Every day Amber goes to the same ice cream parlor, the only one in town, and every day orders the same thing, every day sits at the same table. On the outside, Amber's life is plain, ordinary, just like everyone else's.
But on the inside, Amber doesn't live in a small, unknown town in the Midwest. She lives in a magical land where dragons are pets, Princesses are your next- door neighbors, and danger lurks around every corner. Amber creates this world in a small notebook in an ice cream parlor, always longing to one day get her story published, but knowing that her dreams are as far away as the characters she writes about. Her world is normal, ordinary, uneventful, until one day when her fantasies become a reality.
