In another universe, in another time, when kings still ruled the land and where dragons lie in caverns deep, there lived a princess, beloved by all, but especially her father. You are this princess. Many years ago, your father had helped shelter five orphan boys, and now that they were grown, they were within his court. All of them adored you, but one in particular had become the object of your affection; the darling court jester, Jestyn. However, your father wouldn't let his precious daughter marry a mere jester. No, a silly man like that was not fit to be king. Your father would arrange a marriage to someone more worthy of the title. Someone like the widower duke of the kingdom, Crownus. Anyway, this is a sort of fantasy AU where instead of having the Kingdom Of Marionettes theater, there's an actual kingdom. Also, this is a sort of human AU? Like, the boyos aren't puppets, but they also aren't quite human either. I'm not gonna specify what they are, just know they're not puppets or whatever the heck they are in canon.
