The "Escape The Circus" adventure was a complete and utter failure. Caine knows this. He knows that the humans absolutely detested how it all turned out, to the point of calling him out for it.
But he doesn't know why.
Even with his power over the humans' minds, Caine still can't figure out what went wrong. So he decided to do what any good scientist would: replicate the circumstances and see what went wrong. Even with his incredible power, he can't turn back time, so he opts to do the next best thing: erase the humans' memories of the adventure. Over and over again. Until he gets an adequate level of results, of course.
With small adjustments made to the adventure to how the humans' reactions vary, the cascading truth that Kinger's memory is much more resilient than the rest, and the creeping realization that his "Abel" AI is becoming more self-aware the more he does things... the Circus' ringmaster will stop at nothing to ensure his adventures are wholeheartedly approved by the humans he adores.
What could possibly go wrong?
