After waking up in a mysterious forest, Roan is taken captive by the Mirkwood elves. Afraid she might never get out of the dungeon with a hideous orc as a neighbour, she meets Haldir from Lothlorien in her despair. They get along, and he seems to be the only one who's kind to her. The King of Mirkwood however isn't so sweet and talkative to her as the Lothlorien elf. Roan wants nothing to do with him, but when she learns about his past, he suddenly doesn't seem so cold...

Tamuril Elemmírë was in love with Haldir of Lothlorien, they were to be wed but the fateful battle at Helms Deep took away all hope she had for the future. As she struggles with her grief and desperately tries not to fade, her good friends do what they can to be there for her. Tensions eventually run high as Tamuril shares a moment with Lord Elrond she feels she cannot come back from and flees Rivendell, hiding herself away in the Elvenking Thranduil's Halls. What comes next, no one can know for certain.

I was just enjoying (as much as an assassin can) a cup of coffee and The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings marathon when there was a rather loud crash in the kitchen. Somehow, one of the best warriors in Middle-earth crashed into my house. Now I have to get him back to where he belongs. But there are somethings about my past that even I don't know. Some things that have been hidden for a very long time. And now they are coming back to haunt me. I may add NCIS. If you haven't watched it, it is the best TV show ever. **WARNING: MAY BE VIOLENT AT TIMES**

But when the Great Elvenking set his eyes on her face, those memories that he was running away from came flooding back and he felt the same pain rising in his cold heart... King Thranduil of Mirkwood has chosen an evil path, and has led his kingdom to darkness. He betrayed his people, and sold them into slavery, then disappeared. A small group managed to escape. Thranduil's people, being elves, began to gradually filter from the mortal land of Aman, and he was determined to be there to see the very last of them off, even when only five of them remain. Despite the quiet years and his ambitions to live as long as possible, he craved a fight, a few moments of glory at the head of an army. So when the opportunity presents itself he is more than willing to go, two of his guards and closest companions going with him. Could he truly bring the Elves to glory once again in their final years?
