Life's ruined me. You can't walk into my life and pretend like you can fix me all of a sudden. Not all stories can end happily. Ei: Neglected, abused, and abandoned, October didnt grow into the person he dreamed of being. He's an ass. Sometimes, he wishes he weren't, but its how he is and he's accepted it. Moving into his next foster house also means a new school. Which means more people trying to "fix" him. School-known nice girl, Elle, is convinced that all Toby needs is someone to understand him. That if she can help him overcome this, he will all of a sudden be a good person. Octobers about to show Elle that not everything can be pieced back together, and not all stories end well.

A very personal poem

"A Runaway by any other name" His name? He refuses to respond to it. He was born in in 1900, and was given away three years after his birth with no memory of who he was in that time. It had been an accident, but that didn't excuse the act. One smashed pot and a devastated widow leads to Link learning an entirely new technique to mend things. In hindsight, it would've been nice to know there were rules to breaking pots.

The process of repairing one's self is a long and patient process. A husband and wife deal with a devastating trauma in their lives, struggling to live day after day. It takes an accident to unconsciously remind them that the flow of life can continue, and while you may never forgot, you can somehow learn to live with what has befall you. You can almost begin trying to live again.

Kintsugi is a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending cracks with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. This not only fixes broken potery back to being able to be used, but Kintsugi can be reflected on and applied to our daily lives. When we break, mentally...There is a way we can mend ourselves. Scars are embraced in Kintsugi by being adorned in gold...why not do the same for ourselves when we crack?
