Luna a girl from the Lotus Flower clan Pureblood Blood Line, even though she is a Halfling she still has the Lotus Blood in her veins. She had a Pureblood Father and a Human Mother. Her mother died at birth because of her being a human and having a vampire child in her womb. When she gave birth to Luna she died because of blood loss because of Luna drinking her blood in the womb. Luna, now Fatherless and Motherless she is on the hunt to find her father, after talking to Kaname Kuran.

It's so hard to be alone. He was alone, and it almost drove him insane, but those two? They shone. However, the shadow they cast was great and it landed on the one who had needed it the least. It is truly lonely, being Zero Kiryu. or when Zero only has one person on his side.

Kamie's brother was killed by a Level E before she was born, so for her protections and not to end with the same faith, her parent's met a Retired Vampire Hunter and put her into training as a Vampire Hunter. She now goes to Cross Academy and is a Prefect and Zero Kiryuu's new partner. *During the one year period that they skipped in Vampire Knight, warning may have spoilers from the manga!* From Kamie's point of view.

Extract from Chapter Eight: Kagami flopped down next to him and sighed, "I suppose I should be grateful that you even showered to go meet Ichiou, as expected of my super emo, extremely depressed twin - you got the smarts and I got the serotonin," she grinned. Kaname was smiling now, a small smirk tugging at his stiff facial muscles, making his cheeks strain a little. "Why did you even come here," he sighed, once he's managed to regain control over his face again, "Why? Hmm... do I need a reason? I came to see you because I wanted to see you," Kagami told him frankly, honest eyes and a casual shrug. Kaname sometimes thought that maybe, through all her jokes, she had somehow hit the mark - they had split some skills between them. Kagami had always managed to do that - make the atmosphere lighter, make people more comfortable around her, find the right course of action, that would somehow please everyone but most importantly herself. Back when Ichiou had glared at Hanabusa, Kaname was about to step forward, because panic had flared in his chest - in order to save Hanabusa, he would have punished him right there. Because he had known Hanabusa wouldn't hold it against him. Kagami had a way of making sure everyone she loved was taken care of first and foremost, emotionally and physically but for Kaname, he could only do one of those things - in order to save Hanabusa, he was willing to humiliate him. In order to protect Yuki, he was willing to sacrifice Zero. In order to save himself, he was hurting Kagami.
