This story contains SPOILERS. It is told by Kaneki Ken as a prayer to his deceased mentor Arima.

The War between the CCG had just started, and Angel Rayne had been captured by the CCG. Due to head trauma, she had lost her memory as she was captured, and has no memory of who or what she is. She meets an investigator and ends up falling for him. Knowing that love between ghouls and Investigators is strictly forbidden, Investigator Kishou Arima, in attempt to hide his feelings, keeps trying to remind Angel that it's forbidden. But could his feelings cause the CCG more trouble?

Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city-a place where vicious creatures called "ghouls" exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh.
