There is a principle in chaos theory that states that even a minute change in initial conditions can have a profound effect on the events that follow. Metaphorically, one might say instead that even a tiny drop in a pond may create wide ripples. Ichigo Kurosaki's untimely death at the tender age of nine means he can't receive Rukia Kuchiki's shinigami powers, or stop her execution, or defeat Sōsuke Aizen in battle. But it doesn't mean that she'll never find herself in need of help, or that the Central 46 won't condemn her to death, or that Aizen will never try to kill the Soul King. Fate, after all, finds a way. It all begins in Karakura, with a disgruntled Quincy, an eccentric shop owner, and a talking cat.

Toshiro Hitsugaya isn't a normal Shinigami. He is the Hogyoku. Kisuke Urahara and Naruto Kuchiki gave Toshiro life again to have been capable of dissolving the boundaries between Shinigami and Hollows, allowing one race to attain the powers of the other. Toshiro's goal was to keep the power of Hollows and Shinigami away from each other. Kisuke had created 1/10 of Toshiro's power into a small ball to keep in check of Toshiro's powers in case he ever lost control. Now that Aizen has 1/10 of Toshiro's powers, Toshiro must make sure that Aizen does not use it all up to prevent it from blowing up.

Changed when he bumped into a woman. A woman that so happens to be his mother.

Ichigo Kurosaki was by far not an ordinary person. Sure, he did ordinary things: he studied for college, he went on dates, he played video games and watched movies, just like any other undergraduate. However, he sometimes did something that set him apart from everyone else in the world: he was a Deputy Soul Reaper. He protected the world of the living by destroying violent souls called Hallows and maintained balance by leading lost souls to the afterlife in the Soul Society. But he was no ordinary Soul Reaper, either. He was the son of both a Soul Reaper and a Quincy, giving him unimaginable power and strength. Only a few weeks ago, he destroyed the father of all Quincys, Yhwach, who had acquired the powers of a god and had then tried to destroy all of reality. Now, he was trying to enjoy some long deserved peace, without the threat of another enemy coming and trying to annihilate the Soul Reapers. Sadly for him, this was not going to be the case. What will this new visitor bode for Ichigo? And all the while, the question lingers in the minds of Kurakara's heroes; what legacy will they leave behind? Set after The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc and Yhwach's defeat, Ikumi Unagiya after having returned Ichigo Kurosaki's Substitute Soul Reaper Badge to him, multitasks between raising Kaoru and doing her job which Ichigo hasn't been around to assist with. Meanwhile, Kisuke Urahara's been recovering from his battle with Askin Nakk Le Vaar, having been dropped of in the Soul Society by Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. Now that he's back in the world of the living, Tessai Tsukabishi, Jinta Hanakari and Ururu Tsumugiya have taken over most of the workload to ensure he gets more time to rest, leaving him to do little more than stroll around the city. When the two cross paths due to having a mutual friend, a new possibility arises, albeit an odd one.

He was the hollow, she was his victim and then Shiba Isshin and Urahara changed everything. Five years passed with him imprisoned when a light shone brightly; but in touching that bright soul that was about to be born, the hollow was changed. Now born human, can Shiro keep his identity or will he lose it as time passes by?
