Short stories that connect to my main series, Immortal Imbalance. Go check it out for the context, and for a good story anyone can enjoy. These stories expand on the main story of Thea, Milo, and Abe, but also expand on side character such as Nya, Charlie, Harper, and more. They are meant to be between books, in time jumps, or moments from a different POV. Kites, not restricted, no constraints, without string, flow as they wish ...

kyle is kite alien from outer space, though none of his friends knows about this odd fact. during the night he finds himself becoming his alter ego 'the human kite', protecting the earth from threats but mostly protecting his quiet redneck town of south park while fighting his rival 'toolshed'. when kyle has taken off his costume, toolshed always gives a visit with a flirty tone. everything isn't so simple when a battle warship comes to earth, the pilot claiming to know the kite alien.

Oliver was a boy who managed to do the unthinkable. An enigma to Ilia's curious mind, he had once been an object of pity that now turned into a mix of curiosity and fascination. For years she had not seen even a hair of him but one day she was pulled along by a crimson kite to a home much different from her own. Now she sees him, not only him but more Olivers. To make matters (and Ilia's headache) worse, someone's taking the Olivers from the different worlds...and it's up to just one Ilia to find out who. Welcome to the Mountain Town of Windblowne! Where annual Kite Festivals are the main attraction and the locals live on treehouses way up the abundant oaks. Not really much but for a black-haired girl, home it is. And she might just run up to different worlds to remind one dark-haired boy that it's his too.
