A/N: Since Kit Herondale left the Blackthorns and the LA Institute to go and live with the former Silent Brother, Jem Carstairs, his wife Tessa Gray and their new-born baby girl Mina, his mind couldn't be any further from the life he'd left behind and the dark haired Nephilim, Tiberius Blackthorn. But secrets come at a price and with the necromantic ties between Ty and his sister Livia growing darker, Kit Herondale may have no choice but to face the Blackthorns once more and the boy he left behind.

It's been three years since Kit left for Devon with Tessa and Jem, leaving a heartbroken and angry Ty in LA. They meet after three years and have a lot of unfinished business left. Are they still Watson and Sherlock?

This story is based in New York, around five years after Queen of Air and Darkness. With a few differences, Jace and Clary have twins and adopted Kit and Ash. The story is about Clary opening a school for shadowhunters and downworlders. The academy is a memorial for all the people she lost and will cherish forever. It will have aspects of the Movie, Show, and books. Also in here it will follow the Blackthorn's and Jace and Clary's wedding. and Rafael Santiago and Jordan Kyle are still alive. Magnus and Alec adopt Madzie and Raf. Max is still dead though the book will point out a tiny romance between Max and Dru before he died and studied at the LA Institute.

I absolutely love the Shadowhunter book series and have been wanting to write a story based on Kit/Ty. They won't be Shadowhunters in this but it will be an AU where they live ordinary lives. Ages have also been changed as well. 17 year old Kit Rook has lived a life on the street involved in nothing but scams and scandals but when James and Lucie Herondale summon him one night he is taken to Blackthorn Manor where he grows close with 17 year old Tiberius Blackthorn a quiet, shy young boy with a love for music and Sherlock Holmes. Ty is grieving at the loss of his twin sister Livvy but having Kit in his life suddenly makes him feel like living again. Kit however, not only finds himself finally caring for someone deeply, but also the truth about who he actually is. All characters belong to cassandra clare

Tiberius Blackthorn is the best detective living on the tiny island he and his family call home. When he's hired to find a pirate terrorizing local authorities, he thinks it will be easy. This is my first fanfiction! Set post Lord of Shadows, and naturally it has spoilers for it and Lady Midnight.
