Kit and Dewey were happy together, but sometimes Kit wished she could make it known. She hadn't seen her brothers in ages, and she missed spending time with them. Dewey couldn't reveal himself to the public, so instead they kept their relationship secret, making it so only Frank and Ernest knew. They did, of course, plan on telling Jacques and Lemony next time they saw them. If Lemony was alive, that was.

If you have read A Series of Unfortunate Events you will know (SPOILER) that it ends with either the Beatrice and Baudelairs were swallowed by the great unknown,or they made it safley to land and joined the V.F.D this is what i think happened. Dear reader, If you have stumbled upon this book and are hoping for a fun prequel to the tragic lives of the Baudelaire orphans full of love and friendship, you are sorely mistaken. This early tale is no less hurtful nor unfortunate than the books you know, hate, and hopefully avoid.
