Born as the eldest kit of his litter, Milton had been taught proper etiquette, discipline and manners alongside his brother Tarquin so as to be a proper gentleman as long as he could remember. But there was one thing his family never spoke of, one thing they were forbidden from even dreaming of interacting with. Wild cats. A scourge on the name of all sophisticated, good cats. And the eldest of the Astral Family was glad to keep it that way. Wild cats and sophisticated cats of real class should not mix. So, when he learns of a life out there where adventure and adrenaline come first, and comes in to contact with one of the wild winged cats who lives it, he doesn't know which view is right and which is wrong.

After Willowfur of FlightClan was exiled for breaking the code, she vanished into the Twolegplace and left her old life behind. Taken in by gentle Twolegs and given a new name - Patches - she finally found safety. Here, she could raise her unborn kits without judgment, fear, or the cold watch of the medicine cat who had warned her that her kits "should never be born." Her three kits - Prince, Violet, and Charlie grow up knowing nothing of her past. To them, Patches is only their loving mother, and the world is no bigger than their soft bed and sunlit yard. But peace never lasts. One night, Patches tried so desperately to escape. But returns in the most brutal way. The kits witness her murder - not by a rogue predator or a wandering loner, but by Pebblestride, a FlightClan medicine cat with a shadowy connection to their mother's exile. Broken. Terrified. Burning for answers. The three siblings leave the safety of their Twoleg home and step into the wild she once ran from. What begins as a search for justice quickly unravels into something far bigger - secrets about who Patches really was, why she was exiled, and a destiny that binds the kits to the Clan she left behind. They set out seeking revenge.

A prophecy foretells that Ferret will guide her clan through times of trouble. With this prophecy comes the foreshadowing of her destruction by the one enemy she cannot outrun. Button was a Normal cat. She loved her family, her friends, and her sister, stripe, but when she has a strange dream about cats in the stars she decides to leave her home and set out for the forest with the star cats.

Two cats, seemingly opposites, find each other. They encounter many things in their journeys, and meet many other cats. They come across fighters, teasers, and possible mates.
