Wandering countless places as an enemy of whatever school government he challenged, he started to wonder if this is all his life would amount to. That is when he ended up captured by the General Student Council, rather than being imprisoned, he found out for some reason the missing Student Council President had chosen him of all people to be the advisor of the extrajudicial organization SCHALE.

This branch having been established just before the start of present day Volume 3, Kivotos is given a significant yet abrupt reminder of Arius' existence and strength, as well as the fragility of society run by naive students.
