SECRETSPAM2010
Alexandra "Alex" Pierce doesn't do "chaos." As a lead investigative reporter for The National Sports Chronicle, she's spent her career breaking stories on salary caps, draft statistics, and high-stakes trades. She likes her baseball played by the rulebook, with nine innings, quiet dugouts, and absolutely zero choreographed dancing.
When her editor assigns her to a two-month "deep dive" into the Savannah Bananas to find out if the show is a "disgrace to the game," Alex arrives at Grayson Stadium with a sharpened pen and a heart made of stone. She's not there for the yellow jerseys, the "Banana Baby" celebrations, or the fan-first gimmicks.
But she didn't account for KJ (Kyle Jackson).
The star infielder and resident backflip king of the Bananas is everything Alex finds "unprofessional." He's loud, he's energetic, and he spends more time practicing TikTok transitions than his batting stance. But when the cameras stop rolling, KJ reveals a side of the sport Alex has never seen-one where the pressure to perform isn't just about the score, but about saving a game that's lost its joy.
As KJ makes it his personal mission to get the "Ice Queen" of journalism to crack a smile, Alex finds her "investigation" taking a turn she didn't see coming. Between stolen moments in the dugout and late-night bus rides across the country, she has to decide if she's going to write the exposé that could change her career-or if she's finally ready to play a game where the rules are made to be broken.
