Science Fiction contest. Challenge 23 "If You Die, The Earth Lives... " November 2015. On the brink of extinction, mankind uses reverse psychology to make a last second plea to an alien named Klaatu to stave off human extermination on Earth. Based on the 2008 movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still," written by David Scarpa and Edmond H. North, with reference to the 1951 original movie of the same name written by Edmund H. North, and the 1941 short story "Farewell to the Master" by Harry Bates.

Humanity is deteriorating—fast. Otherwordly beings have caught on to the happenings of humanity, and they aren't happy. Zion 2.0 is sent out on a mission: to find out whether humanity is still worth giving a second chance. Sixteen-year-old Emily Bonaparte is their target. Will she be able to convince them that humanity is worth the gamble?
