Keith is the lead singer in the band Blade of Marmora, the band is anonymous and all the members wear masks. Lance is a major BoM fan and he goes to every concert. He feels drawn to the lead singer and even though he doesn't know who it is he feels a deep connection. Lance also owns a tattoo parlour and unbeknownst to him his celebrity crush (Keef) comes in 3 times a week to get a new tattoo Both the boys go on a rollercoaster of emotions. (Formerly "He Was A Beach Boy" But I got inspired okay??) Chaos hits the summer before Lance's senior year. But fortunately, it's chaos the teen wants. With the looming danger of adult and future deciding decisions, Lance wants nothing more than to spend this last summer as free as possible. Committing minor felonies with his friends and surfing the waves while he can still do so without tests leaning over him. He wants to raise hell in a town that's never even thought to build a mall. That was the plan, decided over a bonfire with drunken, giggled pinky promises and only the heavens above as the teens' witness. But no plan ever made has ever gone exactly as you planned. Lance, a college student, runs into a cute barista while struggling to get to school and ordering his friends their usual. A quick smile and exchange of words can change a boy's heart forever, especially with the cutie behind the counter.

Keith Kogane lives on the edge. You could call it teen angst, or maybe he was just a daredevil, but you could never call him a coward. Skateboarding was his passion, well not just his passion. It was more of a way of life. Everyday he headed out to the boardwalk skatepark, looking to get his adrenaline pumping and to hang out with his buddies. They were more like family to him because 1. They had weed 2. They were the kindest people to ever grace this world. Keith couldn't imagine a life without them, until his best friend Hunk turned on him (not really) and told him about a dance studio where he was taking classes up on the other side of the boardwalk, and invited Keith to a class or two. of course Keith agreed. Who would say no to such a sweetheart? Turns out that that was the worst decision Keith could ever make. Or possibly, the best.

Lance and Keith were best friends, maybe even more. When Lance breaks off the friendship, Keith is left with the mess.

Lance snapped awake at the sound of shoes slowly hitting the pavement. He was surprised of course, thinking that he was the only person vacuous enough to come outside in a storm, in the middle of the night nonetheless. Though startled, he quickly peeked around the corner at the sound of a man's voice... Lance McLain. A human. Keith Kogane, the vampire prince. What will happen when the two boys meet?

Lance was so bright, so good, so happy. the sky lit up behind him, the stars were in his eyes, the air carried his voice with pride. He was so perfectly beautiful and he knew it. My only wish is that I'd told him.

Two boys, with the weight of the universe on their backs, go from rivals to lovers as they grow and understand themselves better.
