|| After a moment, he turned to me. I was able to look him straight in the eye for the first time. I sighed at the sight of his blood- splattered face. For a while we were both silent, staring at each other.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
He really was here. He came back.
The corners of his mouth curved into a smile.

After the (un)succesfull time travel, the Hargreeves siblings find each themselves in a rather messed up situation - they've been separated and forced to fend for their lives individually. To make matters worse, the times all of them jumped into are not nearly as favourable as they should be. The wonderful 60's are throwing logs under all of the miracle-kids' legs.
(Y/N)'s living conditions are bad, if not worse than her siblings'. The place she grew to trust and people she learned to care for are far from being providers of safety. Two years have passed since that memorable day of waking up in an unfamiliar city and barely a month since the one that changed her whole mindset. Of course, Number Five always has a way of founding Eight, and this time is no different. When a figure of past saves her, with a line too familiar not to remember, (Y/N) realizes that the clock is ticking.
The timer's set. The Hargreeves siblings, though consumed with their own dillemmas, are once again faced with a prophecy of a doomsday. The apocalypse won't wait for them to solve their problems, the Commission won't give them any second to rest and this time Eight won't forgive so easily.
Between another impending end of the world, feelings she's sworn to trample down and new lies thrown at her, Eight has little time to choose the side she'll be fighting for this time.
