He was sent to the front in the place of his best friend, Capt. BJ hunnincut. while at the front the enemy was able to overpower the small medical unit Hawkeye was assigned to. when he's unexpectedly taken alive many people believe that it was the end of Hawkeye pierce. during his time in captivity the koreans were able to test a new experimental drug on him. nobody was prepared for what happened to him, and hell, he sure wasn't prepared.
