"I turned to the large mirror hanging on my bedroom wall and stared at myself in disgust. My once curly, dark brown hair appeared lifeless and greasy. My hazelnut eyes had lost their twinkle, my skin was dirty and covered in blemishes. What had happened to my once admired beauty? I asked myself again and again. It wasn’t worth it though, I already knew the answer to my own pointless question. It was I who had made my own beauty disappear and fade away on purpose." A Special Thank You To @Liviamay For Designing The Cover And Banners Of This Story.

Alex was leading a normal life. Well, if moving schools year after year and having ADHD and dyslexia were considered normal. Then, her mom comes home mysteriously after 5 months of being gone, she finds out her best friend is half goat, and–weirdest of all–she gets told she is a demigod. Which meant her father was a god and her mother had– oh she didn't even want to think about that. But that was only the start. She finds out she is in grave danger from these monsters she couldn't even see and that she has to stay at some bizarre camp for the summer to keep her safe. When she gets to camp, let's just say she had a hard time at first. But just when she started getting comfortable, people started disappearing and she gets claimed by her godly father. Everyone blames her for the disappearances and to regain her dignity she accepts a quest to go and get them, so it is up to her to save the day. But, sadly, she can't even hold her shield up properly.

"Help!" I screamed, banging on the door This felt like one of my scary dreams again. The only thing I could think of was how it felt so real and I wanted nothing more than for it to end. "Please! Justin! Someone!" I cried out, beginning to feel my heart race faster by the second. All I did was kept banging and screaming as I hoped someone would hear. It took everything in me to let out the last punch before dropping to the ground and sob uncontrollably while covering my mouth to soften the sound. I know I am really trapped now,I have no idea where I am and I dont even know if I can make it out of here to see. This is too much; one minute I'm on the beach,Justin has me on his shoulders while he spins and than I just get knocked out with Justin on the ground next to me. I still smell and saw the faint blood stain on the ground from where Justin was. Yep,Justin. I was now on the ground, waiting patiently for someone or something. Anything.

Emily Holzhaus, beautiful, clever, and popular, had lived nearly ten and seven years in the world with very little to distress or vex her. ...Except, with her sister moving out and getting married, how can Emily apply to UCLA? Her father dreads an empty house, and he expects Emily to stay close. ...And then there's Blake, who persists in his frowny face disapproval of what will be Emily's matchmaking triumph: the sweet and zany Harryet with the smooth yet vulnerable Elton. Blake tells Emily to stop meddling, but he can't see the magic like Emily can. ...Ooh, and perfect Jane Santiago, who's hiding a secret boyfriend. Who wouldn't be distressed or vexed (or, okay, intrigued) by that? "Just leave it alone, Em," Blake says, but flawless, thousand point GPA Jane has a clandestine romance? As if there's anyone in the world who can leave that alone. But when Emily's matchmaking and sleuthing reveal unexpected truths, she is forced to reevaluate what is most important in a friend-and what to do with longstanding friendships that are rancid beneath the surface. Humorous, smart, and fun, Emily is a YA spin on Austen's Emma about what happens when plans unravel, friendships evolve, and secrets explode.

If you never wanted the Mortal Instruments series to end...if you want to see a little twist in the story line...this story takes place after the the first book, City of Bones. Clary and Jace are siblings, regular demon fights are back on schedule. Everything was getting back to as normal as it can be until a new face shows up: Knightley. Half Shadowhunter, half warlock, and recently abandoned by her parents, Knightley is thrown in with the others of the New York Institute, adding a few turns to the story. This story mostly follows the book plot with some adaptations to accommodate Kightley's background and story (which may or may not include a little relationship with a certain dark-haired Shadowhunter ;). This is my first fan fiction so please let me know what you think! Any comments, thoughts, ideas, scenes you'd like to see, and questions are extremely welcome and encouraged! :) Please allow a few chapters for the story to take off...otherwise enjoy! All the love! (credit goes to Cassandra Clare- the wonderful author of The Mortal Instruments)

The boy stood in what use to be his house, the place he grew up. He smiled and laughed merrily with his family while his friends played by his side. The house that would light up the moment that the boy would smile or even laugh. It is all gone, burnt to cinders and laying as rubble on ash on the cold ground. Puddles of red naming like a victory mark in what the fire was able to tear it's flames into. The smoke was thick and laid over the house like a blanket destroying evidence. And in beneath all of the rubble a pair of bloodied hands lay together, his parents. Even in the face of death they lay together, there love would always be known for the most. But sometimes the warfare of love was perhaps the cruelest. Yet the boy still does not cry, nor did he intend to...
