When an old lady turns out to be the chosen one things turn chaotic. Armed with her knitting needles and six cats, she embarks on a quest to stop the villain, Cuddles, from completing the godhood granting Navy Blue Sweater. Can she do it?

I got a (damaged) copy of Godey's Lady's Book and Magazine, and I'm going to use Wattpad to copy some of the patterns from the work sections and then hopefully translate them into something useable to a modern knitter/crocheter. This is purely recreational, and I will update it as I have the time and motivation to do so. Do not pester me about it, but if you are a crafter with useful insight, feel free to share it in the comments. I'll try to remember to space it out so that all stays organized.

Delphine is dead set on saving enough money to buy her first car. When her Etsy knitting business is slow to bring in the bucks, she resolves to babysit the rug rats of her rural town. Tonight's gig is going well, until a retired couple park their RV and their oddball ways in front of the house. Tempted by a little extra cash, Delphine agrees to a series of seemingly harmless favors - only to realize, too late, the true cost.

Similar in tone and style to Jonathan Tropper's This is Where I Leave You, TIGHTLY KNIT is a family drama intricately weaving the four disparate threads of the Knit Family comprised of an iconic Hollywood diva terrified of being alone and forgotten, an older son and LA's biggest literary agent who stepped into the roles of patriarch and fiancé too soon, a younger brother and childhood actor turned closeted tabloid party boy hell-bent on blaming everyone else for his problems, and a non-biological daughter plagued with a zeal for her environmental law career and a broken heart; all of whom begrudgingly come together for an emotional weekend tucked away in the La Jolla hills to celebrate a matriarch's 85th birthday and anniversary of a close friend's death. A powder keg of truth and self-reflection explodes with a sudden tragedy, the wake of which could tighten the unraveling strings of this family fabric. In addition to the family name, knitting is also a favorite pastime for the characters, and the way sections and chapters are organized. Readers will have a chance to become their own "knitters" as they read this novel that begins with a set of distinct character threads woven into a larger literary fabric that is Tightly Knit.

This idea was inspired by a post in the Penny Reid Sharks of Awesome Group. The proposed idea is to write a ridiculous and entirely just for fun serial novel in the style of Naked Came the Stranger based off of an idea originally found on tumblr and circulated on the internet. This story, Project: Chosen Grannie, is about an old grandma who gets "chosen" to save the world from doom, apocalypse, destruction, etc., instead of an young adult. She knits and has cats. Each chapter is written by a separate author and picks up where the last one left off. This has the potential to be awful. But more than likely, it will be amazing.

We make numerous other contributions to our community. We are a leader in the crafter community, and it is our goal to reach out to as many individuals as possible. To expand our reach, we regularly use social media platforms and publications. Additionally, we host groups and teach classes. We're known for our moral ideals and ethics, so it's up to us to put an end to any discrimination in the craft community. We make every effort to promote and encourage inclusion among the members of our community.

One day, many weeks ago, I wrote a one shot. This one shot consisted of a Spiderman and Frerard crossover, in which Frank was Spiderman. Then I wrote a second part. Then my sister told me to write a whole book of one shots about this. At first, I said no. 'I have too many things to work on right now!' I would protest. 'I shouldn't start a new book!' But then, she gave me a bunch of ideas and now I have to write it because I love spider man and Frerard TOO DAMN MUCH. And yeah. Now there's this. Charles, Erik and Moira are married. Moira's pregnant. Erik thinks he probably hasn't knitted enough to get ready for the baby yet. (The cupboards are packed with adorable onesies. PACKED.) All rights reserved.

*Warning : If you haven't read Tightly Knit and Gunpowder and Cinnamon, go do that first!* Fred and Eleanor Weasley didn't plan on becoming parents so young but they never regretted a moment once they discovered that Eleanor was pregnant, shortly after their honeymoon. Once the little one was welcomed into the world, the two instantly fell in love and all their worries and fears were gone. Their only concerns remained with raising their daughter to be happy and enjoy everything life had to offer her. And that's exactly what Hope Weasley did. With a large supportive family and amazing friendships added to the mix, it's never a dull moment in Hope's life and she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
