Not only has his crazy uncle trapped him in Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm's Book of Classic Fairytales, he was stuck there with the neighbors' kid and a pessimistic know it all as well. Great. His uncle's excuse was that no one was reading fairytales anymore since they were too boring. Leo had INTENDED to get revenge on his uncle by following the stories exactly as they were written, but when the time comes to marry a princess, he discovers that he is about to break just about all the happily ever afters there are. Worst of all, he is stuck with three dogs the size of an overweight elephant. He hates dogs.

alright question time: what do you think are the type of things a high-school-teenage-girl-who-just-got-off-school-in-the-crazy-year-2020 would think about during the holidays?...alone on a computer in her bedroom? now that was probably a very long and confusing question for you so I'll just tell you the answer. This book is most likely the answer but actually that doesn't make sense...THE MORE SENSIBLE answer is actually INSANITY, a LOT of ranting about music, and heaaaps of tangents that lead to no where. Bet you weren't expecting that answer!...cause if you were,...wow umm I don't know what to say...congrats? Oh and by the way, this book I am talking about has a couple random psychology lessons, LOTS OF THINGS WRITTEN IN CAPS LO-ck of sorry I forgot that was on (ha lol I didn't IT WAS A JOKE HA FUNNY...why do I try lol), and baaasically the wEiRdEst s*%^ you can think of! oh and another thing, I'm not gonna be swearing so sure, you can make your 5-year-old child/brother/sister/whoever-the-heck-you-find-child read this book and they won't be upset...maybe. Actually...they probably will; I would now strongly take that back as it may ruin their mental health for their childhood. Or entire life. Ruth has a secret: she is mentally unable to retain information she doesn't find striking or interesting, long term or short term. The second something's in front of her she knows it instinctively, like one knows their own name, acing all her exams effortlessly and answering questions with ease - however, she has no idea what she looks like until she sees herself in the mirror, knows little to nothing about pop culture, and often-times forgets her own address. In fear of what would happen if someone found out about her condition, Ruth goes through her life pretending to be normal: going as far as feigning delinquency and rarely attending classes as to not draw attention to herself or her apparent intelligence. However, when in her senior year of high school, one of her classmates Abel finds out that she receives stellar grades without any obvious effort and wants in, blackmailing her into tutoring him so he can graduate with his class. The more time they spend together, the more they begin to become friends - and the closer Ruth gets to Abel, the closer Abel get's to the truth. Soon enough, Ruth finds herself involved in a calculated game of chess with a boy who doesn't even know he's playing - and to her horror, he's winning.
