Prologue : « Je t'ai toujours enviée, Samy. J'ai toujours voulu être comme toi. Toi et ta beauté surnaturelle, ta gentillesse hors norme, ton intelligence. J'aurais aimé sentir des regards désireux se poser sur moi, entendre mon nom aux quatre coins des rues, être appréciée. Je t'ai toujours admirée, non comme une sœur mais comme jeune fille qui n'arrivera jamais à être à ta hauteur. Je t'aurais presque détesté d'être la vedette du lycée, la star de la famille, la fille parfaite. A cause de toi, je n'ai jamais vraiment existée, j'ai toujours vécue dans ton ombre. Mais maintenant que tu n'es plus là, tout a changé. Je n'existe plus.». Emy referma son carnet qu'elle ranga précieusement sous son oreiller. Elle glissa son stylo dans sa table de chevet, s'allongea et repensa à quel point la mort de sa jumelle a bouleversé sa vie. Les yeux humides, Elle refoula les quelques perles qui roulaient sur sa joue. Essayant d'oublier son passé, La jeune femme se remémora sa journée. Une journée quelque peu ordinaire, à l'exception d'une chose : la venue d'un nouvel élève au lycée. Un jeune homme à la chevelure brune, qui, en apercevant Emy, lui avait adressé un sourire. Cela faisait bien longtemps qu'Emy n'avait pas reçu de sourire.

This story is about these two best friends named Lucy and Anthony, they have been best friends since the 3rd grade they always did everything together, but one thing Lucy didnt know is that Anthony is in love with her and one thing that Anthony didn't know is that Lucy is in love with him, they just act like they are best friends, so one day Lucy gives up thinking her crush doesn't love her so she decides to move on and find a new guy, and this makes Anthony heartbroken and sad, so he stops talking to her because it hurts him to be just a friend to the person that he loves if she is in falling love with someone else, so Lucy gets curious and wonders why he ignores her, so after a couple of months Lucy and her boyfriend broke up, and shes lonely because she has no one to talk to, and she has a secret.
