After Shadow's victory over Black Doom in White Space, Rouge the Bat attempts to reach out to him after seeing his pain. She knew it hurt Shadow to have to say goodbye to Maria. But the troubled hedgehog lashes out, and the two are driven apart by an argument. A year later, the events of Sonic Forces and Frontiers have taken place. Nobody has seen Shadow since the war with Eggman and Infinite ended. However, a new threat prompts Commander Tower to recruit Rouge to find her old ally again. The Black Arms seem to have returned yet again, with a new leader... Can Shadow, Rouge, Sonic and their allies defeat this new reign of Black Arms led by the deadly Eclipse the Darkling? Especially when the Ultimate Life-Form is forced to confront emotions he was convinced he'd buried long ago... A little Behind the Scenes for my long-running SonAmy Fanfiction. Just me giving a deeper dive into the process that each story went through during its writing.

The Sonic gang is going on a trip to another place called Sycora City, a 2 day trip from Green Hills. Shadow is driving because why not. Sonic is next to him in the passenger seat, bugging Shadow while he drives. Amy is with Sticks, trying to teach her how to act more ladylike and to stop being paranoid. Silver and Blaze and snoozing in the middle seats of the van next to Amy and Sticks. Knuckles and Rouge are sitting in the back. Rouge is teasing Knuckles and Knuckles is annoyed, looking out the window and trying to ignore her. Shadow-rin and Tails are sitting next to them. Tails is sitting next to the window and sleeping. Shadow-rin is sitting next to him and has her headphones in, drawing in her sketchbook. Their road trip was meant to be a fun and enjoyable time to just hang out. But on the first night, they stop to stay over in a hotel in a secluded area. The place was practically empty, and they were the only people there apart from the owner, an old man. The place was dark and old, but the room they booked was more better kept, minus the dust. At night, Shadow-rin and Tails hear something, making them look around the dark halls in the middle of the night to investigate. The owner is hiding something, but they don't know what. And they don't want to find out. Half a year has passed since Sonic disappeared without a trace. Tails finds a clue, but decides that only he, Amy, and Knuckles will go after answers about Sonic's whereabouts, so that Tom and Maddie won't be put in danger. But what Tails didn't expect was that they too would disappear without a trace for a month. So Tom and Maddie have no choice but to ask for help from their former enemies, who had unexpectedly become friends. Not all paths lead to answers, but they all lead to questions in this adventure where they will have to work together to uncover the truth behind the disappearances and mysteries. In the process, they will have to learn who they can trust before everything ends in ruins, or perh aps as it was from the beginning. Note: the characters do not belong to me.
