Tomioka Giyuu, Tomioka Shi, Kocho Shinobu and Sanemi Shinazugawa were out on a mission, they split up and Giyuu gets badly hurt, Shi kills a demon in one blow and takes Giyuu back to the water estate, where the Kakushi of the water estate take care of him. When Shinobu starts to notice Giyu's off mood, she takes him to her office for a quick checkup, when Giyu's first memory slightly comes back. Shinobu, Giyu, and many others start to get closer along their journey of getting Giyu's memories back. One day, multiple memories come back to Giyu, bringing up people Shinobu has never heard of, making her go to Saionji Urokodaki, the former Water Hashira and Giyu's master, for some answers. Bringing Tanjiro's squad with her on her journey to find Urokodaki, she finds some stuff out about the kids as well. Meanwhile Giyu finds some unexpected guests in his home, making him and Kanroji Mitsuri, the Love Hashira go out for food, getting the two closer and revealing secrets the girl kept hidden.
