--- SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 70 AND EARLIER --- There is always a high price to pay when Heaven is angered. Opposing Heaven meant death or confinement. It was simply how the world worked. Amaterasu orders Yato's execution, and it is carried out. As per Amaterasu's sentence, Yato dies and is reincarnated as a young child in order to be accepted by Heaven. But as a result, he has lost his memories of everyone he held dear, and he no longer has a shinki to guide him...

(Y/n), God of something unknown. She stays away from everything that has to do with other gods and normaly hides herself in the seas of other people. Her life is going pretty well, in her opinion, until she stumbles into the god of calamity, Yato. "Run" "I would let my life get taken away from me if that meant that i could safe you. I'm not leaving"

"I want you to sever your ties with me, don't you understand?!" His harsh words flooded and drowned Hiyori's mind. She never expected he would react like that. Is this for real? Why? Why did Yato suddenly hate her? She was just trying to help. "B-but Yato..." "I wanted you forget you even met us because I wish I never did!" Her eyes widened and tears slowly formed in her eyes. She never knew he was even capable of saying those words. Yukine stiffened and clenched his fists. He was about to say something and go to Yato, but then, Hiyori held his hand back. "Is that what you really want Yato? Then fine... Cut them."

Y/N was a regular 16 year old girl in her second year of high school, trying to figure out her true self. "Let me be normal... Please, I didn't ask for you!" Serenity was a long forgotten goddess banished for her sinful crimes. "If you value your lives, I'd rather you leave now before I get angry. You've destroyed enough." What little that they had in common actually brought them together in a very unlikely way. "Who am I?" "You are me and I am you..." Everything changed after Y/N met an unlikely trio: A stray god named Yato who dreams to have a large shrine of his own one day. "Life and death are like light and shadow. They're both always there. But people don't like thinking about death, so subconsciously, they always look away from it." A spirit named Yukine, who is bound to Yato as his weapon. "I never would have guessed that being a god means drifting around town, sleeping in the corner of some old shrine to avoid attention, and picking through garbage for every day items." Hiyori Iki, who happens to attend the same high school as you but holds a dark secret. "If you're in a position to save people, you should never even joke like that. My father... the doctor... would never abandon anyone. He'd never give up on a person's life, even if they tried to throw it away." DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN NORAGAMI OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS.

Yukine finally leaves Yato. What will become of the god? Will Yukine realize his mistake? Or will they never reunite? Angsty af. Yukine, who's head had tilted up enough to glance at his collar bone, flinched as his name shattered and dissipated into shimmering blue dust, floating out the window and disappearing into the sky. The dust looked like a diamond mist was dancing through the air, promising goodness in the unique patterns it created. It was such a wrongly beautiful thing; something this alluring didn't fit the mood nor the moment. This is a one shot based off of the chorus of the song I Try, by Macy Gray. There will be one or two SHORT (like, a sentence) lyrics scattered around the story.

You can see Hiyori in her phantom form. You have no idea why or how, but the God of Calamity knows. But Yato won't tell you why or how. Actually, Yato won't talk to you at all. Why is that?

After the traumatizing deaths of your mother and father, that's when things started to fall apart. You couldn't take it any longer, your friends were slowly disappearing, knowing that there was something strange about you. Life began to overwhelm you, you couldn't control your emotions any longer. They started to take control of you. You couldn't control your actions, so you took your own life. You befriend a god named Yato, and this is when your story begins.

Yato is having a horrible nightmare that causes him sleepless nights. The dream repeats itself night after night. It awakens a fear in Yato which causes him to act overprotective around Yukine and Hiyori. The lack of sleep and his suspicious way of protecting his friends make them wonder whats going on with him. Will they find out what is weighing on the gods mind...?

Despite Yato's obsession with you and the fact that he killed you, you aren't his shinki, much to his dismay. Now, he's hunting for you, and he won't stop until you're all his.
