This is a story about a boy named Nova and a girl named Koharu told through the journal that they wrote in as they went through Aincrad. (Full events/days chapters are sparse.) (I do not own any characters beside's nova, nor do I own anything from Sword Art online. if you wish to read this over on Ao3, I am posting this there as well)

On the day that the sky above Aincrad turned from blue to grey, and when the "log out" button disappeared, Ren Shirakawa made the decision to no longer allow anyone else to die on him. In the real world, Ren sees himself as a weak person who has failed at the things that truly matter. In Sword Art Online, he has chosen to become someone entirely different and fights every battle with a sense of calmness and logical thought and with a steady heart. He does not do it for glory but rather does it for protection. Initially, his purpose for fighting was to protect Koharu. By having her next to him, he has someone to protect and therefore a purpose in life. Even if he does not understand it yet, having her around helps keep the loneliness at bay. As they continue their journey through Aincrad, Ren's resolve to protect Koharu helps him gradually open up to other players and provide assistance to more than just Koharu. But while he becomes stronger within this virtual world, he will not release his real self from its confinement and will not acknowledge his past, which he left behind when he entered SAO. Laura Sakuraba stood on the stage, her blue eyes meeting the ones of her friend Yume. She murmured a prayer, wishing upon the stars that she would get into S4. 'Now,' Laura's heart skipped a beat as the results came in. 'We know that the Moon Beauty Class accepts Mahiru as their representative and the Bird Theatre Class knows Ako as theirs but one question remains... who will take over the Song and Dance Classes?' The lights of the stage glared at Yume and Laura. 'Yume Nijino, you have become a part of S4!' Yume bounced on her toes, a smile plastered onto her features. She grinned at the crowd, mentioning her praise. Laura stood, waiting for her name to be called. 'Laura Sakuraba-Although apart of the Flower Song Class,' Laura gulped. 'You will represent the Wind Dance Class!'

Not understanding any of this, Anna is forced to live with these strangers and more unknown people in a world she never knew existed. What will happen to Anna when she starts to live on the Norn?
