When the dormitory of Hope's Peak Academy student Nagito Komaeda is burnt down, he is left homeless with nothing but the clothes he was wearing at the time of the fire and his trusty acoustic guitar. Just in time for a ferocious snowstorm, previous Hope's Peak Academy graduate Hajime Hinata finds the unfortunate boy in the middle of walking his dog, and after some consideration he invites Nagito to come stay with him until his dorm is rebuilt.
