When Kousei Arima a pianist starts getting letters from a mysterious secret admirer, he sets off to find the mysterious girl and return a letter to her.

Kousei Arima has a secret. He's dying. He's been dying for the past two years, his fingers not working well enough to work a piano. He faints constantly and days are only getting harder for him. He's been hiding it for as long as he could remember. But what happens when he meets a certain girl who gets him to get back up onto the stage? Will his secret unravel? What will he do if it does? All he can do is keep his façade up and hope for the best. NOTE: Character Death to be expected

This story is about a girl named Skylar Hutchedson, a girl born in the U.S who moved to Japan when she was very young. She loved piano, until she lost her love for it because of a serious rival in her piano competitons. She quit for years, but she is finding her love for it again through the boy who made her quit in the first place, along with friends and love interests she meets along the way. Kousei Arima ended up moving away, but Tsubaki and Watari moved with him! This is the story of Kousei's first year of high school in a new place. Sakura Nakamura is also starting high school, and she is an expert instrumentalist in need of an accompanist. The romantic story of these two blossoms in this story: My Lie in October. This is more for my own use than for anyone else. I just put myself in this afterstory so that I can enjoy it, cause daydreaming only goes so far :) If you don't like it, don't make me feel bad about it. Again, mostly just for me and I put it on here just in case any of you apply. So just treat it like a Kousei x reader story if the new person in here applies to you. This is totally clean! No lemons or anything really close to that, just kissing. No no-no words either. You guys can read and not feel guilty about anything! (unless you decide not to read it which is fine haha) Does anyone even read the whole description? Ok I'm kidding I guess I do care who reads this. I won't include a lot of "comment to influence the story" kind of a deal. Most fanfiction that I read usually is already finished by the time I find it, so I just assume that when you read this, it is probably 2 years past my writing it and I probably don't remember it :)

The tragedy that was the death of Kaori Miyazono's death. She was tempestuous, and capricious, I couldn't read her, but this girl, she's beautiful, and she was my first love. It haunts me. I remember playing that piece, Chopin's Ballade No. 1 In G Minor, Op. 23, his loneliest piece. I remember hitting the flats and the sharps, I remember all the slurs, I remember when she fulfilled her promise and appeared with her violin, joining. But I also remember when she stopped playing.
