It was at that time that she finally decided to give her son to his father who could raise him better than her. As his parents, they knew that their son would understand her decision in the near future. Years later, Kousei finds out that his father had been dating a new woman that angered and hurt him terribly and had put his relationship with his father to the test. How he acted around her surprises his father, friends, supporters and relatives. Most especially, the wide circle of entertainment that had gripped him in a very young age. Will Kousei be able to accept her mother's reasons why she gave him to his father? Will he be able to accept his father's girlfriend?

What if... Kaori survived her surgery? Kousei learned to love music again. Because it happened. Kaori, still in the hospital is now learning to walk correctly again. She is making great progress. Meanwhile... Kousei has learned to love piano again. All because of last spring. Its a new year, and Kousei has got back into his old routine. Learn a piece, practice the piece to call his own, and perform for the world to hear and enjoy. But now its to and for his enjoyment. He travels all over the world to perform. Soon, to his suprise, someone comes back to join him on his trip. "I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has just begun to change."

This One-Shot is based on 'Your Lie in April' What if Kawori survived her surgery. Kousei left the competition afterwards to see if Kawori was out of surgery yet. When he arrived, she was alive. I would LOVE for anyone to read! Kik~ Anime_is_Fabulous

A short story taking place within the world of Your Lie in April, where a young piano prodigy, Kousei Arima could no longer hear the notes of his own making after a dreadful life hurdle. Until, Kaori Miyazono, a bright and influential individual that brought colour to his life all through a lie.

She looked faded, blending into her surroundings, and each time Kousei blinked, she would flicker away for a moment, only to return back. As though she were desperate to stay where she wasn't meant to be. She smiled at him. "There you are. I've been waiting for you." Kousei couldn't breathe. - In which Kousei cannot say goodbye, clinging with everything he has to what little he has left.
