While two kingdoms sit on the edge of violence, Kion and Rani grow closer in secret. Healing turns into trust. Trust turns into something neither of them is ready to name. But blood debts do not disappear. And the truth is coming.

All the Pridelanders knew Safi. You couldn't miss her with her extra bangs of hair and distinctive blue eyes, or that she was almost always in the company of King Simba himself or Prince Kion, and sometimes both. Everyone reasoned that, with King Simba and Prince Kion watching over her, Safi would grow up to be a very happy, cheerful, well ~ groomed cub.
