Being a member of the noble house of Black was everything. Power, status, wealth. From the outside it meant perfection, but below the surface it was an uphill battle to preserve everything that the family stood for. Especially for Elladora. After the death of her beloved grandfather, Alice O'Donoughue travels to Kerry, Ireland to gather the last of her grandfather's things, and maybe settle his unfinished business and learn more about where she has come from. There seems to be a slight dent, however, when she suffers strange dreams about a boy who drowns in a cave, never to be seen again. The vestige of the boy never seems to leave her, and what she discovers is a world that goes beyond any story she has ever known.

When Regulus Black fakes his death he forgets to hide one clue. With that clue Dumbledore found him and basically forced him to teach at Hogwarts because of his skills, at first he dislikes the idea of teaching at Hogwarts but with the time he starts liking it and he becomes the best teacher Hogwarts ever had according to tue students. The days after Harry and his friends left Grimmauld Place were very lonely for a house elf named Kreacher.

In Kreacher's mind the worst punishment he could suffer was the death of a beloved master, but he'd gladly take any other punishment Regulus wanted including sufferings like that which he'd suffered by drinking the potion,. The first attempt at a first chapter didn't work and then when I went to write the actual first chapter of the original first story I wanted to write, I found myself realizing I would be going further back, yet I also realized Regulus living would actually change things for everyone, including which boy Voldemort would in fact choose, though depending on what happens after the first chapter - because there are so many possibilities including other possibilities in regards to Regulus and him living, all of which would have profound effects on the plot.
