In Kreacher's mind the worst punishment he could suffer was the death of a beloved master, but he'd gladly take any other punishment Regulus wanted including sufferings like that which he'd suffered by drinking the potion,. Regulus living of course has repercussions on everyone. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This is one of my projects for NaNoWriMo. Specifically, it's the start of the prequel series for a one-shot I wrote where Neville Longbottom is the boy who lived. The first attempt at a first chapter didn't work and then when I went to write the actual first chapter of the original first story I wanted to write, I found myself realizing I would be going further back, yet I also realized Regulus living would actually change things for everyone, including which boy Voldemort would in fact choose, though depending on what happens after the first chapter - because there are so many possibilities including other possibilities in regards to Regulus and him living, all of which would have profound effects on the plot.

Dumbledore promised as long as I did exactly as he said I'd be fine. Liar.

Hi, everyone. As a marauders fan, I've felt that JKR (whom I don't support!) didn't do Reg justice. I decided I'd like to explore his character a bit, so I wrote a short story in three parts. They cover a small portion of the time Sirius left, his initiation as a Death Eater, and, of course, his trip to the cave to retrieve the Horcrux. Obviously, this is a sad story. Bellatrix Lestrange. Even just the name can strike fear into the bravest of hearts. Faithful follower of the Dark Lord; torturer of Alice and Frank Longbottom; murderer of many, including Sirius Black, her own cousin; murdered by Molly Weasley. But nobody is born evil. Everyone has a background story. And this is her's.

One day after Harry's return to the Dursleys home and he is a wreck. He has suffered another beating at the hand of his Uncle Vernon. But what bothers him is everything that happened in the maze after the Triwizard Tournament. Voldemort returned, using his blood. His Godfather had tried to rescue him, but was killed and the killer was hailed as hero by the Minister of Magic. No one believes him when he says that Voldemort has returned. Dumbledore seemed more concerned about the politics then he did about him. He is thinking of running away. And then an opportunity comes.

What happened before the Marauders? Specifically within the Black Family. Walburga, Alphard and Cygnus. As well as Orion and Lucretia. These events are for my personal headcanon. An slightly explanation to why these characters are the way they are. The ones we know or we hear about from the original series. This is not particularly a story. Just a chain of events that led these characters to be who they are and do what they do.
