One shot. Hermione granger travels back in time and meets Regulus Black. WARNING! character death Hermione unfolded the paper slowly, the ink faded but the handwriting unmistakable. She read the words, her hands trembling...

⚠️ NOT HARRY/HERMIONE ⚠️ Harry and Hermione are still on the run. Ron has left them to hide at Bill's and their patience for opening the locket has been worn thin. As a last resort, they Apparate to Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place and check the house for Death Eaters. Everything seems to be in order and they've won the respect of Kreacher, the grumpy House-Elf. Kreacher shows them the house's wardstone, making Harry and Hermione the sole secret-keepers. While they're learning things about the house and Horcruxes, the war is getting worse. Death Eaters are using the same device Hogwarts uses to send letters to its students to find muggle-borns. Harry builds his own version of this device so he can save them first. Although they're no longer in danger of being captured for their blood status, these muggle-born children have no place to go. Grimmauld has an extensive library and it's rather large. Surely there is enough room in the house to take care of these kids until the war is over. If Harry and Hermione can figure out how to kill a dark lord, how hard can running a school be? ____________________________________________ Basically, harry is great with magical technology, hermione is a sleep deprived coffee addict, and kreacher really likes cooking muggle food. Together, they start an illegal school for muggle-borns. There's also Black family history lessons, a bit of french, and grimmauld place has wayy too many secret rooms/passageways. This story is basically me losing my marbles and running with whatever ends up on the page. Oh, and I'm taking title suggestions cus I'm not happy with this one. (The original was After the Battles are Fought)

Lyra Black has lived with Kreacher all her life ...Kreacher cared for her as she cared for him. They figured out how to stay hidden and Lyra was tutored just as she would've been if she had her parents. But she doesn't ....both of her parents are gone.

Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. The original intent of the Upside Down Mirror series was to simply write a prequel for the original one-shot which was a story where Neville was the Boy-Who-Lived, which the other Upside Down Mirror piece definitely is, but it also turned unintentionally into a Regulus Lives project, but as I wrote the first chapter of the other one I got to thinking about Regulus asking for Sirius' help. The reason for this comes from the fact I'd gone back to reread a few scenes in the books when I wanted to double check a few details and read the part where Harry describes Regulus as being smaller than Sirius, but then I got to thinking that Regulus might actually have been small enough, but at age eighteen he wouldn't have reached his peak in muscle weight either. I also got to thinking of how Sirius's disdain towards Regulus might not have anything to do with Regulus himself, but the fact he blames his parents and himself for what happened to his younger brother. As for the autism headcanon, that occurred as I wrote the first chapter in that I realized the way I was writing Regulus, he did indeed have the traits of someone on the spectrum. It's not something which will be verbalized as this is a time when he wouldn't have been diagnosed, but to me it explains Regulus' behavior a lot.

This is just a short story of what happens during after Regulus goes to the horcrux cave. It is also told from Kreacher's point of view. Enjoy the pain:)

It shows the bitter sorrow and beauty of the Noble and Most Ancient House Of Black and what happens behind closed doors. Cassiopeia Walburga Black has the typical beauty of a Black its be set in the Marauders Era and may lead into the golden trio era I'm not sure. Fanfiction written before The Deathly Hallows came out. My own speculation about how the series was going to end based on the previous six volumes. Re-reading it recently I was surprised at how close I came to the actual ending - but I have to say I prefer Rowlings!
