Krillin secretly working at a small grocery store to support himself after moving out following his divorce from Android 18. He keeps his job hidden from everyone because he's ashamed and overwhelmed with depression. Krillin has physically changed: he lost all his muscle mass and now has a softer, curvier physique with a slim waist, a slight tummy, a fuller butt, and thicker thighs. He has short, dark hair styled in a bob that frames his face, which now has chubby cheeks and full lips, making him look absolutely beautiful to others. However, he perceives himself as weak and fragile. To hide his body, he wears oversized sweatshirts and stays mostly at home in his small apartment or works behind the register in the grocery store situated outside the city. He rarely attends Bulma's annual get-together to catch up with friends, showing up only occasionally just to avoid concern. Krillin conceals his shame and depression deep inside, maintaining a calm outward appearance to deceive those around him. His facade has been effective so far; they do not know where he works or how deeply depressed he is, and he avoids encounters by working in a quiet store away from the city. One day, he notices Goku walking into the store, looking as powerful and healthy as ever, with his unmistakable strong ki. Krillin has always been aware of how much Goku has surpassed him in strength-these days, they are light years apart. Krillin feels a mixture of jealousy and a confusing, frightening sense of romantic love. Horrified, he quickly tries to hide from Goku, making sure his best friend doesn't see or recognize him. Goku, sensing Krillin's ki but not seeing him, remains unaware of his friend's presence.

The story begins with two young boys in the mountains with abnormal superhuman strengths. Until they meet a peculiar girl seeking an item known as the Dragon Balls. Collect all seven of them and you will obtain a single wish.

The main premise that you need to understand is that he's 2 years younger than Gohan! He's fully capable of tapping into Super Saiyan. He didn't exactly slack off like Gohan in terms of training, but he stopped pursuing to grow in strength as rapidly as his father does. So, yes, he's stronger than Gohan. That's about it.
