The year is 1938. A young girl has left the dangers of her home in Germany to seek solace with a boy she hardly knows. She must now adjust to a new life, a new school and new faces while still holding out hope for the family she has left behind. Hogwarts is a dangerous place, even for the best of students. How will it receive young Petra, and how will it change her friend and protector Christian? Petra has already lost so much, what more can she stand to risk? Conrad believes his Father, a Nazi Soldier, is God, and he doesn't think Mothers are real. As a frightened ten-year-old grows up, so does his Father.

Munich is freezing in November. That's something Lavi Brickner knows all too well. She's alone on the streets after her house burns down on Kristallnacht, simultaneously leaving her an orphan. She's about to be sent off to a concentration camp before she is saved by a young Nazi, who shows her compassion and helps her hide.

Arno is a quick and simple short story historical fiction based on the Kristallnacht event and the Treblinka concentration camp.
