However White Star grew sick of Cale interfering with his plans so he ambushed, tortured, and killed him. Only for Cale to wake up the day after he was beaten by Choi Han. As far as Cale Henituse remembers, he always had an angel and a demon taking residence on each of his shoulders. And apparently, he seems to be the only one who has their righteous and evil influence manifest physically because according to his lovely mother, the existence of shoulder angels and demons is just a concept created by humans to educate the young about the choices one makes to whether partake or desist in the do's and don't's of morality. It should have been special, being the only one to have them, but Cale thinks it's a damn curse. Or, more specifically, they were defects because the angel craves destruction and world domination while the demon is obsessed with riches and a peaceful life. Clearly, the Gods must have fucked up somewhere and Cale wants a fucking refund.
