When the drama 3W3L: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms concluded, Yan Zhi and Zi Lan's ending was the least satisfying of all the couples in the drama. Fanfiction came along to give closure to the audience that was left unsatisfied with the outcome. I started Zi Lan (16th Disciple) and Yan Zhi's continuation story as part of the additional couples within Mo Yuan and Shao Wan's fic on PotUP. Who knew that after several months, their story would take a life of its own, and their journey would become far different from what I first started writing as their reunion. This story has evolved to become their second life. I am continuing their third life, the 2nd volume of their journey, on The Wolves of Mistwood and posting them here. I WAS DEVASTATED WITH THE ENDING of Guardian! I knew that the drama has a sad ending before I even started watching it but still wanted to give it a go and once I was done with it I cursed myself as to why I watched it! I cried my eyes out damn! Being a sucker for happy endings I was so depressed about the fact that Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan do not end up together even though Shen Wei literally waited for Zhao Yunlan for 10,000 years. Therefore, I decided to write my own ending! A HAPPY ENDING!!! Disclaimer: 1. I am altering the events of ONLY the last episode and also changing other co-related happenings to the final episode. Obviously, I am no big shot writer and my knowledge about Chinese Mythology is very limited as well. Therefore, please pardon me if I hurt your feelings in any way. My work is purely for the reason that I hate, absolutely hate sad endings and cannot accept it! 2. As I have already mentioned above that I am basically changing the sequence of events that has been shown in ep 40, so it means that there will be few scenes and dialogues which will remain unchanged. 3. After the sudden disappearance of one of the bracelets, the Moon Jade, the two come to the agreement of protecting the remaining Sun Jade in Kun Lun Mountain. As they investigate, they begin a new friendship leading to love. But Mo Yuan soon pieces together that Lian Yi has stepped foot on Kun Lun long before they met. Who exactly is she? A story about Mo Yuan and Bai Qian The story uses most of the details in the tv drama. Bai Qian and Ye Hua are still engaged. And now High God Mo Yuan is missing. This is my first attempt at writing a fanfic. Reading and re-reading all the Mo Yuan and Bai Qian stories from my fav Ten Miles writers inspired me. I have also taken on some of the rich background they have created. From the moment he appeared Mo Yuan had me swooning. The ending of the tv drama shocked me - I really though Bai Qian and Mo Yuan would be together, especially considering she spent 70 000 years waiting for him and feeding him her heart's blood. That she paid little attention to him on his return or in Ye Hua's absence also made no sense. That's what made me try this. Disclaimer: I don't own these characters or the original story.
