At Teiko Middle School, an extraordinary group of players dominated the basketball court-the Generation of Miracles. Akashi Seijuro The Emperor. Aomine Daiki The Ace. Kise Ryota The Copycat. Midorima Shintaro The Unstoppable Shooter. Murasakibara Atsushi The Giant. And Akashi Ryuji The King. Ryuji possessed the Emperor Eye, incredible court vision, and an unpredictable style of play. Then there was Kuroko Tetsuya, Teiko's Phantom Seventh Man and Daiki's Shadow. Despite their overwhelming talent, the Generation of Miracles were still close friends-constantly practicing, competing, teasing each other, and spending their middle-school days together. And among them, Ryuji and Kuroko quietly developed a bond that went beyond friendship. On the court, they were The King and the Phantom. Off the court, they were simply two boys who had fallen for each other. Together with the rest of Teiko's Generation of Miracles, they were about to create a basketball legacy that would never be forgotten.
