Akira was Kuvira's friend and confidant growing up in Zaofu. Training under Suyin Beifong, they both became powerful metalbenders. Akira's dust-stepping abilities made her a useful ally to Kuvira and her Earth Empire, but Akira soon realized Kuvira's true intentions after King Wu's coronation, and dissented. After Kuvira's defeat, Akira heads for Republic City in hopes of escaping her old demons, where she joins the police force and becomes partners with Mako. Akira quickly realizes that to be rid of her demons, she has to face them, which could entail an unwanted reuniting. The Spirit World, is a fictional yet accurate (in the sense of the Avatar Universe and its history) continuation of the Legend of Korra series, starting immediately after where Korra and Asami enter the new portal into the spirit world in Republic City. But when she finally gets the courage, Kuvira announces that she's dating Baatar jr. Follow Nai on her journey to find her own light.
