In this au, The Octonauts go from their modern-day ship setting to their new and nostalgic late 1930s world where they have never met and learn to accept each other's differences, despite the social views of the decade. Barnacles Richardson and Dashi Friedrichsen decided to throw a Christmas party, when they meet Shellington McDowell, joining the characters we all know and love together. But when something unexpected crashes through the window, everyone is under questioning, making them expose their ugly sides. Ships - Barnshi (Barnacles x Dashi) - Kwaso (Kwazii x Peso) - Shellingtweak (Shellington x Tweak) - Minkling (Min x Inkling) - This fanfiction is my favourite thing I've ever written. It has the Octonaut characters everyone knows and loves interacting with each other as a part of a new setting. And it allows me to express my love for the decade and its fashion, art, and music while hopefully teaching other Octonauts fans historical events and what things were like during the 1930s as best I can. This is my favourite cover out of all my fanfics I think. It took me so long, but I love it so much! Sorry, this doesn't have a title yet, but I'm trying to think up one. I just wanted to go ahead and post it to see what people think. If you have any suggestions pls put them in the comments. Oh, my word this got way longer than I'd originally intended. I hope I was okay with the characterisation. I was worrying so much as I was writing it. I hope the interactions feel in character and you enjoy it. Also, I have changed the ages slightly, which I think is fine because they're unspecified. However, it is canon that Peso has finished Medical school, but in the story, he has not. He's 19 and a half because he went to nursing school right after high school and plans to get a medical degree later. And, in this universe, all humans are animal hybrids so they have actual hands and feet but still ears and tails. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it, but they're referred to by what type of hybrid they are as well as their race. Certain areas have more common hybrids that correspond to what "regular/normal" animals live there. EX: skunk hybrids are only in the Americas because skunks don't live anywhere else. Anyway, sorry about my ramblings, and happy reading!

Peso gets swept away by a Tsunami while on a mission on a deserted island. He tries to radio for help but the connection was lost, just like he was. Peso, who still has his medical bag, decides to check the area he is in for any sick or injured creatures that might need his help. Back on the Octopod, the crew starts to get worried when Peso doesn't come back. Captain Barnacles tries to contact Peso but to no avail. Kwazii insists that he goes out to look for Peso when Dashi informed the Captain that a Tsunami went through the area that Peso was in and the rest of the team went pale and quiet. Except for Kwazii, who raced to the Octo-chute to look for Peso. This is a story about how one friend gets lost and the other goes to find him. Kwazii finds Peso and they go through a lot of challenges and hard times but they make it out in the end. Together.

Kwazii and Peso have been the best of friends for a long time ever since they've been part of the octonauts. But they question if they are more then just friends and co workers. That all change when a problem took place in the Antarctic. When big a group sea lions lose they're way between oceans, they have been eating multiple of differ kinds of penguins which included peso's kind! causing the populations of penguins to decrease and more deaths. It's up to the octonauts to help save as much of the penguins as they can. But Kwazii prevents peso from helping in fear if losing him. Will the octonauts be able to succeed in helping peso's family of penguins? Will peso and kwazii confess to each other? My AU of octonauts is 4 legged animals. Besides peso cause he's a penguin. Enjoy
